Upcoming Programmes & Performances INTERWOVEN: Evenings in Performance INTERWOVEN will host two evenings of performance, film, and conversation in the beautiful and historic setting of The Textile Museum in Washington, DC, on July 23rd and 24th, 2010. The events are sponsored in part by The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark as a Danish Cultural Event. A diverse group of leading international artists will be brought together to engage attendees with textile focused performance art and film screenings, exploring the creative use of fiber with expression through movement.

The live program taking place in the gardens of The Textile Museum will include a performance piece by fashion collective threeASFOUR (July 23rd) that will highlight their sculptural approach to textile design, and an original ritual performed by Copenhagen based duo Henrik Vibskov & Andreas Emenius (July 24th) featuring their unique sound design and textile constructions. On both evenings, Peggy Noland will engage guests as they enter the Museum with a performance that experiments with unusual silhouettes. Following the performances, author and artist Sabrina Gschwandtner, founder of KnitKnit magazine, will moderate open discussions with the artists.SCREENINGS:
